Questions can be directed to Stan at 610-847-8101. This is all at no cost to attendees.
With the release of trout rapidly coming to an end for this season, we are already prepping for the delivery of fingerlings. The nursery will need cleaning, and some volunteer help is appreciated to make way for the delivery. Saturday, June 21 at 9 AM is the scheduled time for this cleaning, with a rain date of June 22. Please advise Adian of your availability at 267-347-2513; and if you have a weedwacker to bring along, it will aid in the clean-up around the nursery.
Our July Picnic Meeting is Monday, July 14, at 6 PM . (note start time!) We are doing brisket sandwiches again and the cost remains $10 per person. Provide your name, phone contact and correct payment for the number of sandwiches you are ordering. You may also reserve your sandwiches at our June 9th meeting or call me at 610-346-7521 to make arrangements. Deadline to pre-order the brisket sandwiches is Saturday, July 5th. Tickets are handed out at the meeting to be collected as you go through the buffet line. Again, must be pre-ordered to allow time for us to purchase sufficient brisket - no purchases at the meeting or beyond July 5. As with all monthly meetings, guests are welcome to attend - please include the correct number for your brisket sandwich reservation.
Reminder at our July meeting nominations begin for the following year. Hope you are thinking about what position you will fun for!

We want to take a moment to recognize Frank Feher, a life member who was recognized for his 40 years as a Hunter Trapper Education Instructor at a recent meeting by the PA Game Commission. Congratulations to Frank for this milestone and for running the class held annually at our club!!

Our busy month of April resulted in very successful events such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Chicken BBQ. While the fishing derby had to be canceled, the creek is open with plenty of trout to reel in.

Tuesday, April 1, trap season began. Open to members and non-members, come out to the lower range by the trap house every Tuesday through August by 6 PM, weather permitting. Bring your own gun and ammo, still $5/round. Upper range is closed Tuesday nights during trap season.

2025-26 Hunting & Trapping Schedules have been posted on the PA Game Commission website. Of note are changes such as archery bear season has been shortened to one week while Elk hunting is 2 months longer beginning July 1 vs September 1. Anterless deer licenses will increase to 1,312,000, up from the prior year and will be available to purchase starting June 23. With the recent change of personnel in the Bucks County Treasurer's office, we do not expect they will be holding in-person sessions at various gun clubs. As of now, please plan on NOT purchasing your licenses at SRGC.

June is fast approaching and with it means the return of our youth BB gun program. Open to members and non-members, youth up to and including age 15 are welcome to learn the basics of loading and handling a BB gun. Guns, ammo, eye protection, targets are all provided by the club. We do ask youth to bring their own ear protection and if they have their own BB gun, they are permitted to bring it. Sessions will run from 6 to 8 PM every other Wednesday night beginning June 4, ending August 13. A parent or guardian must remain on the premises during the entire session. Questions can be directed to Stan at 610-847-8101.

We honor and remember our military personnel who have fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Guns, ammo and instruction will be provided. If you've always wanted to try your hand at black powder, here is your chance. Please pre-register by contacting Joe at [email protected]. There is no cost; participants are asked to provide their own eye and ear protection.

Antlerless licenses have been on sale and going quickly with some WMU's already sold out. Round 3 is 8/12 and Round 4 is 8/26. Note all the hunting and trapping schedules on the PA Game Commission site. New from a July 12th meeting in Harrisburg - the mentored hunting program has changed effective with the fall hunting season. Used to be a mentor hunting with a mentored youth was a one-to-one ratio. Now up to 2 additional hunters may accompany a mentored youth, so the limit is 3-to-1.
Starting August 1, members may begin renewing their dues for 2025. $50/adult and $10/youth up to age 15. If a youth has turned 16 this year, in order to renew for 2025 they MUST attend an orientation session. Parents of these youths receive reminders - please sign up for a session so your youth maintains active status.
Dues can be paid via cash or check at a monthly club meeting, mailed to our PO Box or left in the drop box outside the kitchen door. Renewal forms can be printed from our website. Please update your contact info if it has changed over the past year. N-SSA members who plan to renew can pay at the September shoot and take your card that weekend, helping to save on the postage!

(update on Pat's status since many continue to ask: he is home recuperating; still on meds and unable to drive, return to active status at club TBD as broken ribs and separated shoulder take 3-4 months to heal and we are into month 2; PT progressing better than expected - Diane).

Please enjoy the rest of your summer and happy shopping for back-to-school supplies.

Some have asked if the County Treasurer's Office will issue hunting licenses this year as they did last year. Unfortunately, after discussing this further, there are new personnel who won't be up to speed to handle the session and other staff are on vacation the week this should take place, so there will be no licenses issued at the club. Kris apologizes as she was really hoping to have one session at the club.
Adian is happy to report our new fingerlings have arrived in the recently cleaned nursery. Now the fun begins to give them all our excellent feed and watch them grow - let's see if we exceed 25" at next year's derby.
Check out the new boxed-in areas filled with stone under the pistol benches. Great job, range crew! Will make mowing a lot easier.
An update on Pat's injuries: He is out of ICU and is now in acute pain therapy in rehab. Until further notice, he will not be at the club and he is still requesting no contact regarding anything. Inquiries sent through the website will be directed to an appropriate person to handle. I ask that you respect his wishes and do not call, text or email him. When he is able to communicate, he will so advise. There is a list of officers and board of directors available to reach out to. Thanks for the Prayers to date; they are greatly appreciated. (Diane)
Wishing all a happy & safe 4th of July holiday weekend.
